"The Art of Capturing the Unnoticed: A Journey into Good Photography - A Lifelong Passion Explored"

“I believe that a good photograph is primarily light constructed in a way that forms, lines, texture, color, patterns, and composition show the photographer's vision of his/her own creativity and personality that encompasses the adaptation in capturing images of what is commonly unnoticed with a different ‘eye’ altogether.”

So, photography for me is an art form that transcends mere image capturing. It is a creative expression that reflects the photographer's vision, personality, and unique perspective.

In this extended exploration of "The Art of Capturing the Unnoticed," I delve deeper into what makes a photograph not just good, but extraordinary, reflecting on my lifelong passion for photography that began in my teenage years.

The Essence of a Good Photograph:

1.     Lighting as Art: To me, photography is akin to painting with light. Since my teenage years, I have been fascinated by how light shapes a subject, creating a narrative through shadows and highlights. It's a dance of brightness and darkness, where each ray adds a unique dimension to the image.

2.   Composition Beyond Rules: While the rule of thirds is a fundamental guideline in photography, my journey has been about breaking these conventions to forge my own path. My teenage experimentation with composition has led me to understand that sometimes, the most impactful images are those that defy traditional norms.

3.  Architectural Influence on Lines and Shapes: My background in architecture, a passion that began in my youth, communicates my use of lines and shapes in photography. I see the world in geometrical constructs, each line telling a story, and each shape defining the space within my frame.

4.  The Narrative of Texture and Patterns: Patterns and textures are more than visual elements; they are storytellers. From the intricate designs of urban architecture to the rhythmic patterns of nature, my camera lens has always been drawn to these details that often go unnoticed.

5.   Vibrancy of Color: Colors have been my palette for expressing emotions. The vibrant hues in my photos are a testament to my love for using color to convey passion, mood, and action.

Personal Journey and Influence. How I have embraced Diverse Environments:

  1. My journey in photography started amidst the urban chaos and natural tranquility of my childhood. The contrasting environments were my first subjects, captured through the lens of my first camera as a teenager. The rich background of my Italian and Spanish heritage instilled in me a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and beauty, influencing my photographic style. Art in various forms – architecture, sculpture, painting, and music – was not just a family legacy but a personal fascination that grew with me, shaping my artistic voice in photography.

  2. My early experiences in the contrasting environments of city life and natural landscapes laid the foundation for my diverse photographic portfolio. From the architectural marvels of the city to the serene beauty of nature, each environment offered a new canvas for my growing passion for photography.

So, looking back, my journey in photography has been a continuous exploration of light, form, and emotion. It's a passion that began in my teenage years and has since evolved into a profound way of seeing and interpreting the world around me.

My approach to photography – whether it's playing with light, defying compositional norms, drawing inspiration from architecture, celebrating patterns and textures, or reveling in colors – reflects a lifetime of learning, experimenting, and, most importantly, loving the art of capturing the unnoticed.

This journey is a testament to the belief that a good photograph is not just about what is seen but how it is seen, through the eyes of one who has nurtured and cherished this art form from a young age.
